Supposedly it can be done, but I've tried twice on two different fan
assemblies and was never able to get the squirrel cages aligned
properly---and the sligh

badly abused it'd be easier to fix the old one than mess with the blowers.
Somebody on here had a method for moving the blowers over but I don't remember
it.

Actually, it is not a bad job. Buy just the motor. It comes out as
a unit under the dash in the passenger footwell. Remove the cover,
remove the screws to drop out the fan. I held the fan cage while
someone else whacked the shaft with a hammer and pin punch. the
motor dropped right out.
