Replaced the rear brakes on my '84 190D today, took about 2 hours start to finish which isn't bad. I did the whole deal, rotors, calipers, pads. Easier than on a 123 I think although rears are always easier than fronts. The driver's side outer piston had seized and the rotor had rusted badly.

I've been bleeding brakes and clutches for last 15 yrs from the bottom up. It works , one man, every time. I use an old fashioned hand oiler. New, never had oil in it, now dedicated to brake fluid only. [search NAPA for one.. less than $10]. I open the master cylinder and suck the fluid out,
