How does the ECU thinking it's a V8 hurt the starter? Moreover, how on earth
did it run at all? Or did it not?

have a bad starter after getting the ECU sorted out. Someone had got in there
and somehow programmed it to think it was a V8. He gave me a good starter he
had kicking around somewhere on a parts shelf. It’s a bugger to
