That's a good description of my deceased wifes 240D which I will probably be
selling for high market value if I find a gas burner that gets very good
mpg. With unpredictable gas/fuel prices, one needs both an economical
diesel and gasoline burning car.

My wife had a 240D which I think (would have to find a copy of the tag
receipt in the dead files) was a '73. Did they make both that year?

I drove Brunnhilde today to Sams Club to get some dog food and Rio Reds,
as I was fixin to leave the security guy comes roaring up in his pickup
and said "If you ever want to sell that car give me a call!" He said he
had a TD at one time, 4spd Euro, only 100k miles or so, and it got
