in the 5spd manual, my '84 Ford Tempo had ATF in its 4spd
manual. I'd suspect most manual transmissions from the mid '80s on are ATF...

Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions but that's not specific for our MBZs.)

1 ATF) in the tranny.
The only cars besides MB that I know of that doesn't use gear oil in the
tranny were the MGs - they used engine oil.
