How long do these normally last when vehicle is drived on normal hard
surface . I have recently purchased the W124 with slef leverling rear
suspension and it appears the air cell's have failed - rear suspesion
very hard and jittery. According to previous owners maintainance records
this was last
It thought it was more a function of time, relating to how long it
takes for the nitrogen in the sphere to
leak thru/past the rubber housing. Wondering about the spheres in
my 93 500SEL...

I think about five years, maybe a bit longer. Probably depends on
loads and temperatures more than miles. Does the suspension pump up
properly when you pile a load in the back, or has the control valve
