Anybody think of the value as a mature tree? Bound to be some nut

complete the disnification of the place so that they look more like
old money than stinking nouveau riche
clay

Sacrilege! That's exotic-furniture-quality stuff, and if it's of any
size, quite valuable. People have bought HOUSES for the value
These are some really large trees. Wanna buy them?

You need to find a local guy with a sawmill and get those trees cut into
lumber, which is worth quite a fortune. He would probably pay you a
fair amount for the standing timber. If I was closer I would be all
over that, if you can find a guy to get it sawed up I might even come
get it at
Thanks, guys.

Seasoned firewood is $250-$350 a cord, walnut would probably be on the high
side of that.
A HUGE tree should be 3 cords anyway so lets say $900...
You're still right though, terrible to waste
some ...

Here, and even more
When I lived in Falls Church VA, I had a large Black Walnut tree
felled (2 20' trunk pieces 18-24 diameter) and tried to sell them
to a couple of local wood shops/sawmills. These sawmills are
extremely reluctant to take any backyard trees. If there is any
metal (clothesline hooks, etc.)

I can get all the firewood I want for FREE just by listening for the sound of a
chainsaw and tracking it down

I wish that worked here. About the only time I could get that to happen is if
it were a neighbor that didn't burn wood... Far too many folks around here
are wood burners,
You might try this, can't hurt to add your name to the first list, it's free:

Do the local tree services sell firewood, or do they need a place to dump the
logs, like maybe your place?

I didn't know that and apparently neither did my father in law. He brought
