Drove my to for the first time today, what a nice ride, although I did find out I have someting to fix. The engine is running very cool like the thermostat is stuck open. Most of the ride engine temp was about 60 deg C. I would think that it should be running 80-85 deg C. I really didn't get

My '92 300D 2.5T indicated only 60C or so when I got it. I replaced the T-stat and changed the coolant, and got the temp gauge up to 65C. THen I had the bright idea that I should measure the temp with the IR thermometer. It read 80C, so I just mentally recalibrate the temp while driving that car.
