Yes, order it by VIN and order a master key by VIN, too. That way you'll
be able to get in the trunk and use one key as MB intended.

I shall.
So here is the first two issues on the shakedown cruise back across 105

123 was a 300D and it ran 85 degrees always. This was up in the 100 area.
Secondly, the temp gauge was flicking around alot. up to 100, down to
Key: you can order just a VIN coded key, which should lock doors and trunk if
they have original tumblers, or get a new ignition cylinder which may come with
a new key then all will match.
First aid kit: buy new, they go stale.

Like Craig said check the ground for the cluster. I had the same problem
on SWMBO's
240D when I got it.
Do a Citric Acid flush and use the MB recommended Coolant.
I have a spare cluster if you need a gauge.
Let me know what part of the door handle you need.
I also have a manual tranny shifter
Flickering temp is a bad connection. Could be the connection
to the sender, could be the sender itself, could be the gauge,
could be the instrument cluster ground. I like to blame the
harshest environment first, which would be the sender.
