Seriously though don't leave the mast up, some clown will snap it off.
Shouldn't the mast be auto? Mine is, radio on mast goes up, radio off
mast goes down.

Rcvd Hirschmann replacement antenna assembly (made in Slovenia) for my '87 124
today ($201). One in the car drains bat when sitting with key OFF.
'Disappointed with replacement; 'requires cutting plug off original wires and
soldering 4 individual terminals onto the wires, leaving up/down
in the winter time. The one on my 190D periodically freezes up or
worse down...
