Merry Christmas Listers,
can any of you tell me what is involved in titling a car bought with a bill
of sale!? Any pitfalls to look out for?
The seller says that it is done often enough that I need not worry and that

It's state-dependent. In WA the process for seizing a title involves
registered mail to the PO of record. I'm unsure about a car that was
titled in a different state. But your

repair lien or whatever. You get some paperwork from the state DMV,
fill it out, you

The first thing I would do is get the full VIN and stop by your local
police station. Let them know you are looking at the vehicle but the
seller claims the title was lost and you want to make sure it isn't
reported stolen before you buy it.
