I would suspect that very stiff sidewalls and tread would result in
poor contact patch much of the time -- a large pebble would lift the
entire contact patch off the road.
There is a reason cars don't have solid tires.

Low profile tires are VERY expensive on moderate to poor quality
roads (meaning 90% of America these days of scrimping on road
maintenance to build new interstates).
A buddy of mine a few years back ruined three tires and two
aftermarket rims before he learned to stay with /60 profile tires
