The new tires I got for the SL600 are 225/55ZR16 which is the factory size. BFGoodrich - g-Force COMP-2 A/S  The A/S part stands for All Season, which I probably should not have got as they look like off-road tires --FT On 3/24/19 10:44 AM, Karl Wittnebel via Mercedes wrote: 60 is a lot

60 is a lot nicer than 70 or 75. The sidewall on a 285 tire is still plenty tall at 50 profile. The width of the wheel is really the limiting factor for the contact patch. I was going to have them widen my old 14" bundts to 8.5 or 9. Could run 50 series 285 or whatever. Then put thicker swaybars

I like the 70 tires, and 65s seem to be ok.   Rubber band tars are for idiots with more money than brain.  I watched some bozo blow 2 ties and bend 2 rims hitting a curb because he was diddling on his cell phone.  You would not believe how funny it was.  I saw him drifting into the curb

Tire pressures are critical on these low profile tires. They wear far faster than regular rubber if not inflated properly - ask me about the set the wife went through in 18 months - mainly my fault because I didn’t have the pressure right - I was using the original tire stock pressure and not

So the fronts are 0.5" wider and the rears are 1.5" wider? You guys in Los Angeles and Florida can keep the 35% and 40% tall tires. Buddy of mine put 18s or bigger on his Jetta, within a few months dented all 4 rims. Problem made worse by the fact that he won't monitor his tire pressures.

Copart accounts are usually only good in a particular state, mainly due to the individual states’ laws on things like dealer licenses. You can look on their site and see what’s allowed/required for your state.

The damage on it doesn't look that bad either, finding parts might be a PITA.  It looks like you have to have some kind of business license to bid on these cars, or find a broker that will gouge you.  I need to look into setting up some kind of business and getting a license, maybe I'll go in
