Carbide drills will do a much better job of cutting the high strength bolt
I bought a small set of Cle-line drills a couple years ago, definitely the
most expensive drill bits I've ever bought but boy do they cut! I had to drill
out a bolt on the motor for my loader and it zipped right through. I have poor
luck drilling out bolts but I think its probably because I'd

Hit the stuck bolts with the air wrench, just let it bang for a good
while, some fwd/rev trying to loosen them. Finally sheared one off,
then the other. Sigh. So I got one most of the way drilled out until
time to quit. That steel is tough, a center punch got dulled too. I

Strikes me this is a galling problem not a thread problem. They usually
turn easily once the ball is freed up. Not sure what the answer is apart
from using wheels with steel seat inserts.

next step: Mexican rattlerench: Put your 18" breaker bar on. if you
have an extension, support the extension with a jackstand. then take a
2 lb LFH and beat on the end of the breaker bar until it frees or about
10 min. per nut.

Well I am worried about shearing the bolt ahead of the shoulder that
actually holds the wheel on. Then I'd be worse off.

I checked it a little while ago and some had oozed out but most of it was still
there. When I get back from my bike ride and have some brunch I’ll hit it with
the air impact wrench and see if I can get the wheel off.

Who cares as long as you got some soak time? It only takes a little bit to do
the job.

Won't the acetone just dissolve the duct tape?

I mixed up some magic elixer acetone+ATF to use to try to get the lug
bolts off the SL600 wheel that is stuck on. I put a big piece of duct
tape over the bolt hole on the wheel and then filled it up with the
elixer. Will let it soak as long as it will sit there, not sure if it
is going to
