A friend of mine had one of these white/black 4spd 66 230SL. It was showroom
condition, he bought it in 1968 after blowing up 2 engines in a 66 Corvette he
bought new. I rode in it a few times. It wasn’t particularly fast but the cool
factor of the 4spd and engine singing as he rowed the gears
I went down toward OKC this past weekend to meet up with a guy who is on the
various Fakebook groups. He wants me to buy out his remaining cars which
consists of a 300SDL, 2 240Ds, 2 300SDs, and a 380SL. He works on customers
cars in his garage. In the garage he had one of these he was working
