Got some good news today from the insurance company. They are paying the full prchase price for my wrecked 300D, minus 15% for salvage value. I suppose I could have argued about that, but I won't in the interest of not spending any more time or money on it. I want to get the carcass home and start stripping it as soon as I can.
I will probably have some bits for sale. Dash is probably beyond use at this point (I'm going to see if the speedo head and odometers work, though, as the odometer is toast in the new one). I'm also snagging the rear seat lower cushion, driver's sun visor (mirror falls out of the new one), underbody panels, and maybe some trim. Probably need the steering box, too, maybe some other stuff, but I will have three good inside door panels, three windows, and other such stuff. Rear end is good, engine is iffy (ran a while boiling coolant, head is DEFINITELY gone), turbo is probably good, tranny is good, driveline good. Now all I gotta do is let the nice surgeon dig glass out of my arm and I'm all fixed up!
