Yes and as a volunteer firefighter, we used to put just a little water on
them to make them burn brighter. Always a welcome emergency call.

Reminds me of high school chemistry class when my teacher purposely paired me
with an idiot jock. I bet Mr. Muscle head that if he lit this ribbon of metal
it would burn.
Thank goodness we were near a sink when he did it.
