Most of the 2 stage HF jacks are aluminum and blue. In the first stage, with low load, the jack goes up very fast. Maybe only a couple or 3 pumps. Once it hits a load, the pump shifts to the second stage, the high pressure stage, and then the jack only goes up maybe 1/8 to 1/4" per pump.
