Bought an 83 300D today. Has 270k on the clock, a little sluggish with weak
brakes as it's been sitting for a year. Tranny shifts ok. Orient Red that is a
little faded on the top and hood. It has some rust in both rear wheel wells and
the sunroof and AC don't work. Decent interior with tan MB
The way I see it is that any car that runs, moves and stops is worth $1000
of today's money.

Congrats, sounds like a good buy to me. Blow out the sensor line
(Vacuum tubing) from the intake manifold to the left fender, and also
blow out the fitting on the intake manifold. That might make it run
good. It is the circuit that tells the turbo to GO! When it is
plugged, nothing tells
