And Marshall was correct. There is a cam mounted on the front of the fuel
injection pump that drives the vacuum pump.
It is kind of like a wobble disk. The surface of that cam was trashed

ASR uses the wheel sensors from the ABS system. It eases up on the throttle and
applies the brake to the spinning wheel if necessary. It did not appear on
diesels until they used the electronically

The vacuum pump has failed.
Try not to run the engine until you replace
