If it has two wires/connections it won't be grounded when closed,
it will just close the circuit between the two connectors.
The more common LOP switch has one terminal and the other
did test the old switch before I went to get a new one and
found 3 ohm with the engine off and 1 with it running. So Switch
was bad even though the LED wasn't coming on like it should have.

Not a known issue. It's possible the sender (pressure switch) has probably
failed.
Get a generic one - anything over 5-7 psi should be fine. It's meant to shut
the generator down when it loses oil pressure

Correct.
May not be a time delay. Could have something to do with speed or output
voltage.
You have effectively identified the problem. Check the sender while the engine
is running. It should be closed (grounded.) If not, it's bad.
Is it a level sensor or a pressure
Should be a pressure switch. I'm not aware of any current Generacs that are
splash lube (float switch).

There is a known issue with low oil sensors that will cause the

The fix is to simply overfill [by the mark on dipstick] the oil.

You have effectively identified the problem. Check the sender while
it was so unreliable. You'd have 1000 yards of concrete
setting up fast and your generator would quit. Pull that wire and you're back
in business.

OK so I tried to start the Generac generator. 7500 watt 1350

Didn't even expect it to turn over figured the battery would be
