Along those lines, get certificated to teach and do some substitute teaching,
I can't tell what the criteria is for substitutes, but looking at the NMDoE the
requirements for alternative
I know universities are a bit different from colleges, , but our search
committees would look more favorably on adjunct college teaching than HS
teaching.
Community College teaching would count. As Fred says, YMMV.
