in it. they collected bass drums from all over the area, and surrounded the
auditorium with them starting the rolling from the back, and slowly
crescendo
I actually talked with a lady who lived through that.
She told me that her home was near embassy row and they hoped they would
be safe since they did not think the allies would not bomb the embassies.
These old homes had basement built of stone and they had removed stones
between the homes - ro
