I cannot help but think that the only proper way to repair the watering
can is to solder it.
Messing about with epoxy or POR etc is just not the right way to fix
something like this.
People repair fuel tanks with plastics etc in an effort to avoid the big
BOOM but there is no need to worry abo

All I have is a Versatrailer.Well, I do have a junk knockoff
stove. But nothing else Coleman.
I've only got 1 Coleman, a circa 1974 dual mantle that has been
converted to kero. I also have a somewhat new-ish (maybe 1980's?) 2
burner stove.
I wouldn't mind having a sportster tho.

lanterns now (I only seal the bottom which is the point most likely to rust)

This post reminds me of a problem I have been stewing about. I have an old
McLane (the actual brand is Montgomery-Ward) front-throw reel mower which has
been sitting out in the back yard unused and in the weather because it became
difficult to start last year. It looks like the one in this link,
coat the inside with POR15.
Perhaps instead of brazing use POR15 putty to fill the holes, sand to shape and
then coat (inside and out) with POR15. Handily POR15 comes in silver.

loose nits and bolts into an old fuel tank, throw the whole thing in the
back of a car and drive around for a month or two to knock all the rust and
scale loose. Then dump the hardware out, rinse with water, let dry, then
