I kept bees for my former business partner, who had 20 acres of land with an orchard and was surrounded by farms. No idea how much honey we got out of the hives, but it was a lot of fun. I kept some, he kept some, we gave away the rest to friends and family. There was a really active apiary

I've had bees for about seven years now. Fascinating, but you do have to learn to tolerate getting stung some. Had a mean hive this year, stung me through the suit and everything. The bonus is about 300 lbs of honey, so I'll make a little money, and the hobby keeps me off the streets. Peter
