Shrimp are good marinated in lots of things. I had a lot of hot peppers in pots last summer (no el merde del gato), made a coupla sauces with stuff I had around -- one was pineapple mango with lime and rum (and some vinegar in it to thin it a bit), it goes really nicely with shrimp and fish,
