We tried both T-Mobile and ATT when we moved to the runway, and found that neither one gave coverage at the small (tiny?) airports we fly to. Switched to Verizon and we've not lost coverage since. It was a ral pain to fly into an unattended grass strip and not be able to call our ride to come pick

Apparently Google Fi uses T-Mobile and US Cellular. In my area that means the second you step off pavement your phone stops working. I went through that with Republic, who uses T-Mobile as their GSM carrier, it was terrible. I'm using Red Pocket CDMA with Verizon as the carrier. It's good,

I mentioned last night that I think Verizon/Visible puts the high end at $25. Unlimited talk/text/data, unlimited low speed hotspotting. On the low end, Mint is very good if T-Mo service is acceptable. Tracfone still has its place, but mainly in the fact that it still subsidizes phones.

I recall someone mentioned using Google Fi for cell service. Is the experience generally positive, or am I way out of date? We are looking to escape ATT due to exorbitant pricing. At home we don't even get reception, so it seems like it will be hard to do any worse than that for network coverage.
