The one that always gets me is "I'll call you back". They never call you back...
I've gotten to the point where I'm so surprised if somebody actually does call
me back that I want to speak to their supervisor and give a positive review. I
want to reward that behavior so that it happens again.

Agreed.
I am a great believer in constructive feedback, and I’ll often provide it, good
or bad. I tend to believe that (some) people truly appreciate it if it’s given
in a positive manner.
Last week’s encounter with Home Despot and their totally inadequate delivery

It is such a rare occurrence these days when someone does their job correctly
and well.

for four more boards with the original one. It was even all stacked on the same
pallet. But the four boxes of deck screws I ordered were missing. I was so
focused on making sure the extra lumber was there I didn't thin
I should have. Getting nowhere on the phone with Lowes. First I have to fight
through the robot "assistant" that answers to get to talk to a person, then I
get transfered to "the person who can help you" and they don't pick up and the
call bounces back to the robot. Can't wait for more and more

It is a sad statement on business today that you might ever even need to
consider calling the CEO of a company to get their attention to fix some stupid
issue.
At the vast northern estate in Caribou we have an excellent family owned

Ordered a Home Despot garage storage unit with a couple of upright cabinets and
a workbench with upper and lower cabinets. Two big honking tall boxes on skids.
Paid $55 extra for threshold delivery so they would put them inside the garage.

There is no way to change or add items to an order that's already been placed

I've never had to warranty a tool at Harbor Freight. I now own 2 HF ratchets
and as near as I can tell they're at least as good as good as Craftsman. I
haven't had an opportunity to really beat on one but they work pretty good.
I've warrantied several Craftsman ratchets and my 1/2" one has decid
If it’s a USA made craftsman ratchet you might want to try to source a rebuilt
kit otherwise you’ll get one of the chinesium ones in exchange.

I have not tried to return a craftsman tool since the local Sears store
shut down, so I don't know if the current craftsman retailers honor the
lifetime warranties. I'd guess they do, it's just good business. Even
Harbor Fright has a lifetime warranty on hand tools.
