I think these might be environmentally friendly detergents. It's been a while since I heard the discussion amonst performance bike riders, but it was a major issue. The M1 15w50 was deemed to not pose a threat and was also the best in the biz. Tim 1982 300TD Moby On 1/11/06, Mitch Haley [EMAIL

For some strange reason, Mobil 1 is -not- recommended for my new bike, a 1999 Honda CBR1100XX. The other owners are kind of pissed off about it because they'd like to use synthetic, but they're warned against it, especially when most of the other modern Honda bikes do good on it. Any clue as to

I've had excellent luck running Mobil 1 15-W-50 in my CB-500K (wet clutch). No slipping at all. On 1/11/06, Curt Raymond [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Rick, Have you used the 15w50 since it got the new packaging? I was thinking about switching to it this year for my '82 CB900. Also considered

Rick, Have you used the 15w50 since it got the new packaging? I was thinking about switching to it this year for my '82 CB900. Also considered Mobil 1 Motorcycle formula. I really only go about 2000 miles on the bike a year so I probably don't need synthetic. -Curt Date: Tue, 10
