ITunes sucks, windows or Mac. Maybe it sucks a little worse on windows... Its
much of why I went away from the iPhone.

Has anyone experienced a virus which corrupts your email contacts?
My wife's iPhone 4s contacts and her contacts saved in MS Outlook have been
corrupted, typically by the email address changed by one letter (for
instance, cindyjo...@isp.com becomes condyjo...@isp.com).
Some contacts also get

Haven't ever done a factory reset, probably would be a good place to start.

Plug it into the computer you sync it to with iTunes, and click the “Backup”
button.
Better yet - if you click the box to do a secure backup, any account
credentials that might exist on the iPod will be backed up as well. When you
restore it from the backup they will be there, too.
