Apparently RR uses something Castrol made called “RR363”. The alternative is TRW PFM201 which appears to be identified as a mineral based oil. In a quick Google search it appears that the older models used a DOT3 fluid for brakes and suspension systems that had castor oil added to it for lubrici

That guy Hoovie bought a “cheap “ Roller for $80k or so. He took it to his mech and I recall something about checking mineral oil in some system. He did get it sorted and apparently it was working fairly well. A lot of the parts are BMW bits so it is possible to get them cheaper --R Sent from

I believe there was something about them using (mineral?) oil in their hydraulic systems, or something to that effect? I was thinking I had heard about non-Rolls mechanics working on them and putting the wrong stuff in them and doing some serious damage as a result. I’m pretty sure I’ve spoken
