Not really. If they're noisy then sure, but that's what's so
insidious about these pumps. No warning sometimes. If the
cover is loose and leaking then it's time, but that isn't
actually

There is NO reliable test other than to tear it down and measure
clearances. In my experience, the early ones lasted 100-150kmi and the
newer ones are good for
