I used airplane stripper to get down to bare metal. It is a huge PITA, as it needs to be kept covered long enough for the product to work. Do not sand blast. A person could soda blast it or bead/walnut. Now, the biggest removal need I have is getting brake debris/dust to go away. Brass

I used to use wheel paint from Napa. I bought several cans of off brand wheel paint at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store for a buck a can. Neither is perfect, but both are close enough to original unless you are going to show the car at pebble beach. Kaleb C. Striplin via Mercedes
