Actually, restoring the dash wood isn’t bad, it’s just darned time consuming and very tedious to get it right. Replating chrome is very expensive these days. For example, the little garnish molding on the rear doors of the W110 sedan that’s a continuation of the molding on top of the fins cost

Doing the rest of the work will require $$ thousands for cosmetic stuff that detracts from the pleasures of driving one of these. The dash wood R/R and chrome restoration are a nightmare, for starters. Already at $15,150 and probably heading over $20k. Dangerous game for amateurs.
