Allen was free. And I got lots of spare parts, or parts that had been removed
and are less than spectacular. At this point it is going to be a hodge podge
of upgraded parts, but a bit more complete when I get done.
Based on the work done on both Allen and Polei, I think a decent running car
You have to credit the clean interior, low mileage and ownership pedigree.

Actually, the interior is very clean so maybe no quite so sad as I had
thought. Engine is suspicious due to surface rust and air cleaner missing
a nut. Undercarriage suspension bits have surface rust. I know Silver
Star - the local shop. Used to drive my W111 3.5 coupe over there from NW
DC
Why is it sad?
And yes, someone is already overpaying at the current $3005 bid.
That being said, values on these cars has gone up significantly in the recent
past.
