If you have one of the newer eTrex Vista Cxs, the adapters are hard to find - I had the same problem. I also roasted my first one with a non-OEM adapter, which Garmin gladly replaced, despite my truthfulness in telling them what I was using. Apparently there was an issue with a protection diode
