Hi; I don't want to start a trans. start trread again; i have a book here; Mercedes Benz. Technical Companion:with items taken from M.B.C.A. , the Star magazine (wich can be purchased from some parts sellers on internet; Maybe Rusty?) it has a page "Automatic Transmission Standing & Starting Modes"
it lists from 50- 90 & on; i you need specs. a certain car; i will let you know what the Book says; i have 3 M.B. diesels & this book is correct for them & also correct for What Kaleb said !!! ( sometimes they shift so fast , it's hard to tell?) Steve
