Different.
They may be interchangeable - but I would expect the belt to be
different. And the bracket is clearly not the same.

As long as you get the block mount and the tensioner mount, any
diesel, OM621, OM615, OM616, OM617, will mount any alternator or
generator from any other engine. My son's 110 200D 2.4 has an 81
OM616 engine with the alt and mounts from a 116 but I forget the
engine type. Probably a 450 gasser

Maybe, yes. They are the ABS that has NO vacuum booster. The failure mode is
that the boost seal in the cylinder starts weeping, then the pump starts to run
too long until it seizes... Voilà! You have full manual breaks! (hope you have
strong leg muscles!)

I am working on 83 240D.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in alternator mount and
bracket between 83 and

you still need.

Or an OM616 in a 110. I made my own with a grinder, drill and thread tap.

Could come in handy if you want to put one in a W115.

Yeah, I've seen the makerbot's, rep-raps, and similar DIY printers,
but they're still very primitive compared to what I have access to
right now.
I'm not saying that they aren't worth the time or effort to build and

Instead of removal manufacturing, how about additive manufacturing
using 3d material printing.

I need the alternator bracket with adjust screw and engine mount.
I would assume Kleb has these in OkieLand, but I am thinking he has
