Thank you for this evidence Dan. I have seen references to lots of cases

There are ways around that.

when a wallyland goes in a small town the main st. businesses fold.
Call it what you want. It happens. When sam came into our town, he
could not figger out what to make of our store, and would not speak to
us. He talked a long time to Buzz at the hardware store, and told him
exactly how
I totally understand your lumberyard situation. Where I grew up in Indiana we
had an 84 Lumber that is still open, within sight of a Lowe’s. The 84 does a
booming business to this day. If I wanted a 2x4 or a sheet of plywood, I
would’t give Lowe’s a second thought.

In 1994, WalMart purchased property between the small (pop. 9,000) town I lived
in in Wisconsin, Port Washington, and Saukville, an even smaller town of about
4,000.
Before they had even broken ground, WalMart corporate representatives were

Furthermore Wal-Mart is one of the few places I've been able to buy Made in USA

I still hate the Wal-martians. The few times I go I try to get there within an
hour of closing, the people there at that time
And to make matters worse and F you up. They are also a leader in
installing solar energy on the roofs of their stores. That really pisses me
off. I do so wish they were a hundred percent evil in every way.

I'm not sure I believe they really kill small businesses. If you said "They
kill small businesses that provide crappy service" then I'd agree. Low prices
and poor customer service will win over higher prices and poor customer service
but many people, myself included will pay a higher price for

customers but they destroy local community small businesses.

You can still do what Mitch suggested and get the $30.00 back.
Buy a second battery online with in-store pickup.

Seen any $15 off on a $50 purchase coupons from in the mail lately?
They're having 'half off your first case' on a lot of the store brand stuff
Chewy.com for your pet food. Set up auto order you don’t even have to think
about it anymore

That would have been smart. I'm not that smart. And, I just wanted to be done
with the deal and leave. I checked the local FLAPS online and they were all
over $100 for same battery. I was sorely tempted to but a sealed lead acid
battery online but wanted the generator back online ASAP. Buy
Buy another battery online with in-store pickup.
Take the $80 receipt with you when you pick it up.
Take it to the service desk and return it with yesterday's receipt.
Did you already give them a core?
I returned a battery to Walmart once and they wouldn't give me my core back, so
I ended up
Our local Mercado del Wal offers online grocery shopping with delivery to
your car in their parking lot (free now, vs. $5 at local grocery chains).
Wonder if I can add something non-grocery like motor oil and also get that
loaded into the cart, that would be kinda nice.

Walmart had some Memorex for $14.88
So I went to Walmart, where they were $21.88.
Huh? Take a spindle to the price checker, $21.88.
Excuse me, can you price match this? It's $14.88 at Walmart.com
