Htp is making good inverters, still cheaper than red or blue.
The green chinese welders keep getting better. Customer service being very
important however and not always great.
200A will not reliably weld 1/4" aluminum in any quantity, much less 3/8",
unless you use helium, which is excellent

Another welder Eastwood has is 250 A multi-process:

that way,
The practical result is that with MIG, you always end up with more metal
than you started with. In some cases, I've been able to weld with
ox-acetylene by just melting the two parts together - no filler needed. I
expect that you could do that with TIG as well. You can't do that with MIG.

And what is the operational difference between MIG and TIG?
TIG is like an electric ox-acetylene in that the filler is not
part of the heat process. The electrode is not "consumed".
MIG uses the filler for one electrode, so it is consumed.
Technically both use shielding gas,

One handed vs. two hands. MIG is a wire fed from the spark maker that fills
the weld and melts to two pieces at the same time. You ALWAYS get more
steel than you started with. TIG is a spark torch that melts the two pieces
you are joining and you add the filler with your other hand as needed. In

In watching the first several episodes of "Hannah's Bug" on YouTube, I
saw her using a Eastwood MIG 135 welder.
Does anyone know anything about these? They are on sale now for $249.xx
Other, better choices?
Thanks,
