Does anyone know offhand what type of wire I should use for mig
welding the factory exhaust? This is on the 99 E300 at the rear
muffler. No rust, it just cracked off. Probably a bad weld to begin
with.

Gee, thats funny. Guess what mine did about 10-15k mi ago?
The pipe itself is not stainless and totally rusted through all around where
the muffler was welded to it. You could probably fill it in with enough
material, but I'd think it would rust through pretty quickly now that it is
already
