I had a late 90s Cutlass
washer

to find it does not work.

Friend had a '97 Pontiac that had seemingly random electrical issues,
they all pretty much went away when he had his aftermarket remote start
system removed.

Had a Taurus and a Sable. Lots of other things went wrong but never had trouble
with the transmission.

I am considering buying a cheap car that I can pay cash for and drive for a
year. I am making some real estate investments (prices are low - now is the
time to buy) and don't want to take on any debt. Anyway, I saw a dodge intrepid
the other day and its cheap. Any information or personal
they don't enjoy a good reputation, with one engine (2.7L?) particularly
troublesome.
why not just get a cheap 240D?

The xB? The first generation is a terrific package. Tons of space
and bolt upright seating, and it gets 35+ MPG on the highway.
Destined to be a collectible, I think,
i guess. i saw an appliance repair guy with one and had to go over and
chat. he said he was using a regular van but got rid of it on account of
gas prices. holds almost as much and gets 40 to a gallon. 80k miles on it
and no repairs.

I looked at the original ones when they first came

This would be a great car for you because of the

True, but the original ones were pretty spartan, which
was one of the things I didn't like about them. Not
that I wanted a bunch of power accessories, but just
the looks (in the interior) were really blah.
I wonder what one of the first generation models is
going for used these days?
