When my buddy got married (still in college) all us buds went to the
wedding and picked up his bug and carried it into the lobby of the hotel
where the reception was. The management was not amused, his parents
thought it was pretty funny, and we all laughed like hell.

Apparently, 730kg for a Fortwo. That's about 250lb less than my first car,
a 1975 1488cc CVCC Hondamatic Civic Hatchback. Mine was about as heavy as
the original Civic chassis got, but even a 1200 4sp sedan would outweigh
a Fortwo. I

As would a Yugo GV at 1800 lb or so---the only car I've ever done the

...I'd break even if I was just getting 22 mpg on a gas vehicle.
I'll be switching back to the 380 SL very soon now. Gas prices
still don't make it, but the Frankenheap only has studded snow
tires on it, so it's on winter-only duty.

It was 3.84 here last Thursday. 3.99 by Friday. add the 9/10s of a
cent and you have 4.00 Diesel. Gas is still 3.08. It is NUTS!
It is 12 times the 1973 price.
Now if I could make 12 times as much, I'd have no complaint!
