So i did some inspection on the dead battery when it didn't respond to charging
overbite
The top side was blown out on the positive side.
A check with a meter indicated that i was charging at about 16+ volts
I grabbed my trusty Uro voltage regulator from the glove box and installed it
Bosch will probably be Indian, as in from India.
I hate to pick nits, and one could certainly argue the economics of this, but I
would probably opt for the Bosch since it’s got some semblance of quality
control in place.
URO is utter crap in my opinion, and I would never put a URO part on my
I'm with Dan, Uro has a very bad reputation. If the voltage regulator
over-charges, that can kill your battery and maybe other electrical components
as well. Not worth the risk.
I'd use Bosch from junkyard before I'd use Uro.
