Speaking of noise:  Since I installed LED lights, the radio has noticeable noise, that goes away when the leds are off.   Is it possible that some capacitors of the right size, (what might be the right size) installed in the line, would cut the noise.  LED lights are on different circuits from

Two things come to mind, in order of likelihood: 1) Noise. LED's need constant-current regulation, and all replacement-style bulbs use little embedded digital switching power supplies to do it. Raise the RF noise floor of the area, and you reduce the reception range. 2) There's an outside chanc

I would concur with the others. The only thing I could imagine is if the LED lamp had something in it that was an RF source that would interfere with the opener’s receiver. I found this among other online references: https://blog.lightingsupply.com/blog/do-led-bulbs-interfere-with-garage-door-o

Electronic noise from the driver circuits? Anyway, that's only a factor when the built in light is on, meaning you're probably closing the door. Range is more likely to be an issue when the door's closed, especially if it's a metal door. Mitch > On September 26, 2019 at 3:46 PM Randy Bennell via

no posts this afternoon I have a question for you electronics experts My son just got a garage door opener  and I was reading the installation manual. It suggests not using LED bulbs in the opener because they may limit the range on the remotes. Any idea why that might be? Randy _
