If it is the same as 123 unit a pair of channel lock pliers works fine. Did
several that way with them with no problems.

46mm, IIRC. I have a cheap on-sale Harbor Freight 3/4 metric socket
set I use for this, and other big duties.

Was there not a thread on here a while back that suggested a spark plug
socket was the right size? You use it sort of backwards. The extension needs
to go in through the end where the plug normally would and the hex end
