You never ever reuse a belt that has been stretched in an accident. Ask any
competent body shop.

And what you don't know is that belts in a wrecking yard could very well
be
stretched (that's what they do
As RLE states, it's typically hard to get seat belts from a
junk yard - the reason being, when in a wreck the seat belt
is seriously stressed.
Most of the cars that make it to the U-Pull are not
wrecked. And of those that are, a lot are not full
frontal collisions that would have stressed the

But for $12 per hose, I think I would go new.

If you are talking about the SRS type belts, yes its a one time thing
but quite apparant if its gone off. That only happens in a front impact
though.
