the one with the broken valve cover. Both the fenders are shot, the
interior is shot, dont know what all works and what doesnt yet. No key,
no title, front bumper is also fubar. The tumbler is out of the
ignition so it
well its always possible to get a clear title, thats no problem.

Seal got turned inside out when he pushed it over the crank end?
I can't imagine a grooved crank surface causing a river even if it had 300,000
miles on the old seal, and those are the only two causes that come to
Can't turn it inside out, the boss comes off and you push it into the

I can't wait to hear the rest of the story. I'm hoping he doesn't

D'uh! Seal bears on harmonic balancer/pulley hub, not crank nose, right?
You can tell I haven't worked on one of these, can't you?
Mitch.

Yup. Like Hans says, what was wrong with using a wear ring that was
easy to replace? I guess somebody thought the hub would last long
enough -- so now when you have to replace it the second time
(replacement seals are offset to the rear 5 mm), you get to replace a
$300 hub instead of a

Just think of all the extra parts you'll get for $750. You'll keep your 140
going for ages, and if something goes awol, just pull the part you need off
your back up. ;-)

yep, its great. I have always had parts cars to backup all my other
cars, but never had a 140 parts car. Knowing my luck though it will
turn out to actually be too nice to part out.
