True, but a Google spreadsheet isn’t going to be easy to update while I’m at the gas pump, or for that matter, even more so when it’s Mrs. Dan at the gas pump. That’s why I like the convenience of the app. Everyone can have it on their phone and it updates across all instances. For example, the

I wish there was some sort of app/program that would work across iPhone, android, and desktop. In other words you could enter mileage on iPhone for a fill up and it would sync with desktop program. I could only find phone apps that do this so I stuck with the one I used that’s just for desktop.

Not really a vehicle log app per se, but I use Google Keep Notes. It's just very simple, totally free-form notes, lighter weight than a Google Doc or spreadsheet. I keep one note per vehicle, and include the VIN, and the date and mileage of routine maintenance items and any non-routine repairs.
