Same in Kansas - nothing. I have seen some unsafe heaps running around
here. In Missouri, we had inspections and if you went to a decent shop
it was a fairly good inspection. The
Iowa has nothing. If you look too unsafe, the cops stop you, do an on-site
inspection and issue a warning ticket. Normally, this is just for dead

I've had three or four (forget the count) rock chips in my Benz windshield

have never been issued tags in AZ before. They just make sure you have the
correct paperwork, look at the VIN, call it a vehicle
